Yudhveer of Indian Army won the 46th ‘Hind Kesari’ wrestling title by beating Rohit Patel of Madhya Pradesh on points basis here tonight.Yudhveer started on an aggressive note and defeated Patel. He secured four points while Patel got only two points.Yudhveer received a two kg silver mace and Rs three lakh in cash as prize at the hands of Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithiviraj Chavan.The three-day 46th senior national championship and Hindkesari title wrestling competition began on April 20.It was held to mark the centenary of Khasbag wrestling arena, which was constructed by erstwhile royals Shree Chhtrapati Shahu Maharaj of princely state of Kolhapur. The Maidan is used as a training camp for wrestling sports persons. The wrestling season extends from June to September every year which is an unforgettable experience.
