Election Results of Nine Municipalities of Kolhapur District is out.
Jaysinghpur, Ichalkaranji, Kurundwad, Kagal, Gadhinglaj, Murgud, Panhala, Malkapur and Pethvadgaon in total Nine Municipal Elections in the district were held on Sunday. Approximately, 80 percent of Kolhapur people gave their votes to their chosen candidate.
At Taluka Gadhinglaj, Kagal and Murgud, Rashtravadi Party took the lead. At Ichalkaranji, Congress Party flags its victory. Shahu group was victorious at Jaysinghpur whereas at Kurundwad and Peth Vadgaon, local alliances proved winners. At Panhala, like before, Jansuraajya Shakti Party stayed winners. And at Malkapur, Jansuraajya-Rashtravadi aliance was victorious.
In Ichalkaranji, Congress secured 30 seats, Rashtravadi secured 10 seats and Shahar Vikas Aghadi secured 17 seats. In Jaysinghpur, Shahu Aghadi secured 18 seats and opposition party secured 1 seat. In Kagal, Mushrif – Vikramsingh group secured 15 seats and Mandlik – Sanjay Ghatge group secured 2 seats. In Murgud, Mushrif – Patil group secured 13 seats and Mandlik – Sanjay Ghatge group secured 4 seats. In Gadhinglaj, Rashtravadi secured 9 seats and Jantadal – Jansuraajya – Congress Aghadi secured 8 seats. In Pethvadgaon, Congress – Yadav group secured 13 seats and Rashtravadi – Saalpe group secured 4 seats. In Kurundwad, Congress – Patil group secured 9 seats whereas Rashtravadi secured 8 seats. In Panhala, Jansuraajya Shakti secured all 17 seats. In Malkapur, Jansuraajya-Rashtravadi secured 12 seats and Sarudkar – Karansingh Gaikwad secured 5 seats.
The Chief municipals are Gadhinglaj, Kagal and Murgud where Rashtravadi gained victory. Candidates supported by Human Resource Minister Shri Hassan Mushrif defeated those supported by M.P. Shri Sadashivrao Mandlik in all three municipalities by attaining maximum number of votes and securing most seats. Congress clearly defeated Rashtravadi in Ichalkaranji municipality elections where Former Minister Shri Prakash Aavade took the lead. Jansuraajya Shakti with support of Rashtravadi defeated Sarudkar in Malkapur. Similarly, Shahu Aghadi was victorious at Jaysinghpur by taking all seats and giving only 1 seat to opposition. In these Elections M.P. Shri Raju Shetty got shocked as his party’s name was no where in winners list.
In Three out of Nine municipalities, Rashtravadi Congress proved victorious without any utter competition. In Kurundwad and Peth Vadgaon, Local Alliances took the lead with the support of Congress. Jansuraajya Shakti took all seats at Panhala due to influence of work and position of MLA Shri Vinay Kore.
